“Not all those who wonder are lost” – J. R. R. Tolkien

This is my favourite quote. I live by it. It’s kind of my motto.

I like getting lost, its fun.

Whether on a hike or squashed inbetween camping gear in the car,  I love to wonder the earth, particularly in my homeland Australia.

There’s 2 types of lost. Which do you prefer?
Definition 1 – meaning confused, uncertain, unsure, fustrated, scared and puzzled; or
Definition 2 – free, careless, happy, freedom, joyful, wandering, and in the moment.

I like the latter much more.

Here’s another quote I like by Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka:

“There is no earthly way of knowing what direction we are going…”

Some call it lost, some call it wandering but I call it travelling.
